Shared Vision International is a non-profit organization based out of Lincoln, Nebraska. The name stems from the idea of sharing resources to help people in need with vision care. Shared Vision International, also known as SVI, is devoted to the restoration of sight for those with limited access to vision care or who otherwise cannot afford it.
As we began designing the identity, we stripped the shape of the eye to the core – a circle. The symmetry of a circle and how, geometrically, it represents infinity allowed us to experiment. We see the shape acting as a literal representation of the eye and catalyst for shapes, but also as a representation of sharing. It allowed us to experiment with symmetry and iconography.
