TMCO (Total Manufacturing Company) was founded in Lincoln, Nebraska, over 50 years ago. This metal manufacturer has a rich history, a great reputation, and an exceptional company culture. After partnering with Eleanor for an Oktoberfest event rebrand, TMCO saw firsthand how refreshed branding can elevate their presence, and one small project turned into a complete brand overhaul.

The Strategy

In the realm of manufacturing, TMCO has done well in adapting to meet the ever-changing needs of its customers. And while the company consistently pushes the envelope with its services and cutting-edge technology, the brand did not reflect that legacy.  Our team led a strategic branding and marketing overhaul that gave TMCO an identity that will carry them into the future.

After a brand audit and close collaboration with TMCO leadership, Eleanor became acquainted with TMCO’s culture and their goals. The rebrand needed a look, feel, and voice that respected their history with a modern twist to grow the metal manufacturer beyond its current customer base.

From there, we began a website redesign to ensure the fresh TMCO brand and messaging would reach audiences locally and globally with a UX/UI experience that would move customers to action. We developed the brand as a system that’s easily rolled out across their facility, collateral, events, and digital platforms.

The Solution

It all starts with the brand. TMCO’s mark communicates a brand that’s strong, trustworthy, versatile, and tech-forward. By capturing the spirit of meticulously bent metal and the steadfastness of brackets, the ‘Flexor’ wordmark stands as an ode to machined and form-bent metal creations. Every letter underscores the precision and transformative might of metalwork; it is bold and timeless.

A true test of the success of a rebrand is the client’s eagerness to get it implemented, the impression it leaves on each person who encounters it, and how it stands out in the market. The TMCO team was more than happy to revamp the 300,000 square-foot facility with the new brand throughout exterior and interior signage, and our team also helped to develop effective signage throughout the departments. Moreover, the TMCO team has been enthusiastic about implementing the brand on new equipment and spreading the word to customers.

In terms of SEO, organic search for new users is up 25.3% and overall 39.8% as well. We also saw consistent and significant growth on social media, increased engagement, and overall brand awareness.

From its website and digital media platforms to employee uniforms and event collateral, TMCO proudly shares its new brand with the world, and it’s been something that sets the business apart in the metal manufacturing market. We’re happy to see it appearing in print collateral and throughout signage on the manufacturing campus.
