Path of Relationships | Christine Weeks + Jacque Genovese

Our Story

I’m a fan of the “path of relationships” and a believer that everyone comes into your life for one reason or another. Whether you like them or not.

I met Jacque when I was 23-years-old. I was fresh on the working scene with one baby under my belt, and ready to take on the world. I applied for a “healthcare market research analyst” job and I had no idea how that part-time gig would change the course of my life.

When I started as a healthcare analyst in 2004, I was introduced to my boss, Jacque Genovese. Her name alone was intimidating. She was and is a force. She came to work every day dressed to perfection. Anything I handed into her came back covered in red ink. But…. I was learning.

She taught me how to be a better writer, how to plan events, how to walk into meetings with executives and manage the room.

One night she took her team out to dinner and she asked us if we preferred a Cabernet or a Sauvignon Blanc? I just looked at her and said, “I’ve only had my Uncle Dan’s fine basement wine.” And from then on, she taught me about the finer things in life.

During my time working for Jacque, we became dear friends. She was even the first person I told about my twin pregnancy. We’ve traveled together, supported each other and have seen one another through all the highs and lows.

After 11 years of not working together, Jacque and I started our second act. This time, I’d be the boss and she would be my employee. It’s something we laugh about but it’s also something truly special. How often do you get to mentor someone and then be a part of what they built?

Anyone who knows me well, knows my appreciation and love for Jacque. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her and I’m so very grateful that we get to continue on this beautiful journey together.

Around the office we affectionately refer to her as the OG. She brings the experience, class, and grace that we all dream of having. Our clients love her professionalism, healthcare experience and presence. She’s simply a class act and our team is genuinely better with her in it.

Cheers to relationships that move you forward, that challenge you, and make you a better human.
