Wongani believes the best work begins with understanding people, and as a Senior Account Lead, she helps guide client relationships and strategic communications with a partnership-driven, human-first approach. “I’m a big believer that the quality of our relationships measures the quality of our lives,” she says. “This also shapes how I think Eleanor works best with clients. We take the time to understand what matters to each client, as well as why it’s important to them.”

Before joining Eleanor, Wongani built her career in strategic communications, working on large-scale initiatives including projects supporting the Transportation Security Administration and statewide healthcare programs. “A lot of the work I’ve done has been about taking complex things and breaking them down so the public can understand them,” she shares. The value of clear, useful communication “should never be underestimated,” Wongani adds.

Originally born in Malawi and raised in Nebraska, Wongani now lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband Ben and their daughter Effie. In D.C., you’ll likely find her wandering through Eastern Market, exploring museums at her own pace, taking a yoga or dance class, or walking the city’s historic streets. These slower moments—especially Saturday mornings at home with her family—are the ones she treasures most.
