When Dr. Sherri Thomas founded Nebraska Weight & Wellness, she set out to change how people think about weight management. In a field crowded with quick fixes and misconceptions, her goal was to support long-term weight management for clients. And her program would be built on science and empathy, so patients understand how a person’s weight is a mix of complex, personal factors and managing it often requires thoughtful care.
With the grand opening set for November 2024, Dr. Thomas partnered with our team to bring her philosophy to life.

The Challenge
As a new business, Nebraska Weight & Wellness needed to inspire trust and inform Lincoln about Dr. Thomas’s approach to weight management. To do that, we focused on creating a distinct identity and a digital experience that reframed what long-term wellness looks like. The creative direction emphasized compassion over confrontation—using phrases like “solutions that go beyond the scale” and “progress isn’t always linear.” Every message echoed the clinic’s commitment to long-term, evidence-based change.

Eleanor developed a brand identity for Nebraska Weight & Wellness, bringing Dr. Thomas’s vision of whole-person care to life through thoughtful design and strategy. The brand’s core message—Rethink. Rewire. Redefine.—became the guiding idea across every touchpoint. A distinctive logo and visual identity captured the clinic’s focus on science and empathy. By incorporating a blend of modern sans-serif and intelligent serif typefaces, and a monogram that references a double helix strand of DNA, we built a feeling of easy, clean, logical sensibility to invite people to begin their weight loss journey. The brand and website told the story clearly and personally, positioning Nebraska Weight & Wellness as a place where science meets empathy and patients feel seen.

The response to their new brand strategy was immediate. Within weeks of opening, Nebraska Weight & Wellness received 96 consultation requests, fully booking the practice for its initial launch phase. By opening with a clear mission, a full calendar, and a powerful foundation for growth, Nebraska Weight & Wellness is proof that when design, messaging, and strategy align, new brands can achieve connection from the start.
